Sunday Night Welcome Reception

Sunday night we'll have dinner with Steve Schweitzer, 

author of Fly Fishing Guides to Rocky Mountain

National Park and Indian Peaks Wilderness. Steve will give us an audiovisual presentation on trout fishing in the Park and Wilderness areas.







Guided Fishing

​ EyeFlyFish participants will have 2 full day guided fishing trips in Rocky Mountain National Park. Guides will be provided by

Estes Angler, the fly shop endorsed by EyeFlyFish, located in Estes Park.


Steve Schweitzer

Steve started fishing on his parent's Ohio farm pond at the tender age of 7. He has been hooked ever since. He is the author of 3 books, including his latest "Designing Poppers, Sliders and Divers", published in 2017. He has a BS in Systems Engineering and an MBA. He worked in upper management at Burris Company, Steiner Optics and Whiting Farms. He is an Orvis-endorsed fly fishing guide and a contributing editor to Angling Trade Magazine and his written over 100 articles in various fly fishing magazines. He is a frequent speaker on fly fishing, backpacking and hunting at various venues throughout the country. Steve is also a long time member of Trout Unlimited

and served as President of the Lee Wulff chapter in 1994-1996.

Continuing Education

Up to 20 Hours of C.E. is available at University of Houston's CE in the Rockies Program held on July22-25, 2021 at theRidgeline Hotel in Estes Park, CO.
