I fished with Dr. Charlie on Valley Creek recently, something I always wanted to do. His people skills, knowledge of Valley Creek, and fishing expertise did not take long to surface! During our very successful morning, he definitely made this 70-year-old average fly-fisherman feel like Lee Wulff, and I can't wait to fish Valley with him again!

I highly recommend hiring Charlie as your fly fishing guide! My experience with him was great. Not only did we have a lot of fun, but we also caught a nice variety of fish, including Brook Trout and Brown Trout. Charlie's friendly and helpful demeanor made our fishing experience together even more enjoyable. He provided invaluable knowledge about hatches and recommended the perfect flies to tie yourself or where you can go to purchase them. Additionally, Charlie's expertise extended to improving my casting technique, which greatly enhanced my overall fishing skills. With Charlie by your side, you're sure to have a memorable fishing day on the water with a few laughs, some good information, and some nice fish. Don't miss out on the opportunity to fish with this wonderful guide!

I had a great fishing trip with Charlie on Valley Creek. We fished 4 different sections on a hard to catch day: low clear water, bright sunshine and warm. Charlie got us on the creek early when it was cool and pointed out the characteristics of the stream and approaches to fishing it. We progressed through a series of locations and tried different techniques in order to catch the wary wild browns. I caught multiple trout throughout the day all along the creek with Charlie swapping rods to keep me constantly fishing. It was a great day and everyone should be so lucky as to have Charlie guide them for a day.   John Gingrich

During the Covid-19 shutdown Charlie decided to act on his passion for teaching others how to improve on their fly fishing skills and catch more fish. In 2021 he became a licensed fly fishing guide in Pennsylvania. He will concentrate on guiding streams in southeast PA and central PA, as well as organizing trips to the Erie tributaries in the fall and spring for steelhead. He is also available to do fly tying lessons and casting instruction. For inquiries contact him at:
