Number one on my bucket list

has always been a fly fishing trip to Alaska. 

I fulfilled that dream this past September when I stayed at NakNek

River Camps in King Salmon. The fishing (and catching) was better than 

I ever could have imagined. In 6 days I landed over a hundred rainbows, most 20" or larger. I also landed numerous sockeye salmon and arctic char. 

This year I'm heading back to catch the peak of the Silver Salmon run and the early part of the Rainbow run. I also want to fish dry flies for grayling and big streamers for Northern Pike.

Jim Johnson and his family run a top notch camp with meals that rival cuisine offered in much higher priced lodges.
